Contests

My kids just participated in their different music contests. Trina had a flute solo, and Alex had a vocal solo and was part of a small ensemble. Trina got a 1- on her flute solo. I agree with the judge. She docked her on breath control and dynamics. Alex got a 2 on his vocal solo. I don't agree with that. He was told not to use a lot of body expression, so he didn't, and she told him he needed more. His small ensemble got a 1, so they will be going to state with that.
